Anyone know if they fit the 5 gt turbo? Are they the same as the original?

Cheers

I very much doubt it mate even a mk1 clio job is way different to a 5, besides I doubt there would be any advantage anyway.

What were you planning?

Cheers.. Not planning anything, there's just more around and in better nicked than most 5 ones these days..

It's been discussed in this thread above.

If they won't mount to a Clio mk1 then its highly unlikely to fit a 5.

A Clio Mk1 subframe will fit a 5 if you drill the subframe O/S front mounting hole back by 20mm or so. The other 3 subframe holes align perfectly with the 5 shell.

I'm more interested in what was mentioned at the bottom of that post. Will 172 shocks fit a Clio Mk1 or 5 if 172 hubs are used... I think they may.

No worries, my stocks of sub frames are pretty much nil at the moment, I think Dave Clark had my last seam welded one for the yellow car.
I can have a dig around at the back of the workshop and see if there are any left.

I think it is possible to use 172 parts on the clio 1 and R 5.
Foxy on CS did a 172 conversion and I'm sure Andy Cooke did the same to the rainbow car.
