should be fine, although a high lift cam is going to help things ;)

it really depends on how much power your after:cooter:

Power region could be somewhere about 180-200hp.

If you only want to hit that level of power, a 2554r is too big & will be laggy to drive.

A GT15-GT17 is more in that range, or even an old skool Tomcat turbo.

Could always modify the o.e T2...

You will need a decent cam to get the best out of the .64 exhaust housing.

Agreed, you could pick a small gt series turbo with mega fast spoolup for that power level. Logg's gtt for example full boost at 3500 and 200hp.

Spot on advice Mart. :agree:

A .64 rear is rather large for 180-200bhp and will move your boost threshold up to around 4.5/5k.

What i did was pick the smallest turbo that can supply the bhp i was after and then went up one size just to make sure. :)

I used to run a Gt17 on my 5, It was a nice turbo as responsive as a T2 with a bit more Kick :)

As mart says :) Its a laggy turbo the GT2554r. When I tried one it was 4800rpm for full boost. Maybe just a smaller turbine would work OK, if you can find one.
