Loads of pics on the site of the car on track days over the last 9 years, including the 2004 Renault 5, 30th anniversary race at Thruxton , driven By the previous owner Martin Saddler,

As the pictures show in my profile the car includes
2x4 cup steels,
4x toyo proxis
2x bumpers
1x phase 1 grill

plus the usual cup spec, slightly bent Devil strut brace, Devil side exit exhaust, Coupe badges, Sparco seat, Sparco 3 inch 4 point harness , running engine and rebuilt gearbox with a KTR 180 spec turbo and carb suited................ plus cup book and 1989 regulations
The car has had a major smash at Cadwell Park in 2011 and needs major work to be driven again, I've been told from all quarters that the car can be straightened ,Please PM me through the site £1000 :)

Really really want this!

Skyline GTR in swap? I'm 100% serious. This would suit me down to the ground.

:agree:

This car is outrageous! Before the accident it was one of the cleanest, straightest, BEST gtt's out there. It could even be the earliest gtt still in existence today. Chassis number 90 out of every one made

The car was built in 1985 and raced in the first year of the uk cup series. I believe the owner then had an accident (not in this car) and could no longer drive. The car was then stuck in a garage, where it sat until rescued by Martin Sadler in 2004, who prepared it for the Renault backed reunion race at thruxton. Martin told me that in order to remove it from the garage, they had to chop down a tree so that they could open the doors!

For those who don't know, Martin Sadler was the driver of the Renault London gtt Coupe in the cup series in 1988/89, so he did know a thing or two about them.

After the 2004 event, he stuck it back in his garage where it sat until Eugein bought it in 2005, and spent the next few years tracking it around the uk, and even Spa on a couple of occasions.

It's such a shame that Eugein decided to drive it into the armco at Cadwell, as this really is an incredible car :(

If I could then I would. Problem being that I've only asked £2k for a quick sale to raise funds to buy this and have it jigged out.

Not to worry, they turn up every few months but this would have been a nice one to have.

Remember that day at Cadwell very well, my car never made it off the trailer as it wouldn't run :( it was my first time back on track after that Malory park crash i had, it took me until 3pm before I got behind the wheel of a car and hated every minute of it  Eugein had a scrap with the Armco and lost :sad2:

My old cup car was dirt cheap... Think i paid £1400 for it with a few sets of cup wheel, perspex etc....

Didnt need much work to get it looking nice either :))

Yeah that's right, every time a cup car has come up for sale I've advertised my GTR and not got it sold quick enough. Think ill just let it go for £2k and tuck the money away for next time one comes up.

WHAT, Just saw you have sold this, cant believe it!
Who did it go to Eugein? It would be good to see it going back together. It was a hefty accident, but repairable.
One of a 2 or 3 possible original shells from '85.....

On a lighter note, I have just bought a TS Eugein, fancy a race with yours?

WHAT!!! lol
That used to be my TS that I sprayed and had to sell to pay for college!!!
I would have paid ANY sum to get that TS back

Who has the TS now? Do THEY want a race? SOMEBODY give me a TS race!!!

Hey JRP, I'll ask him tomorrow. Although I am not sure if he kept a copy.... We'll see.
I think he quoted to put on a jig to tug it straight, before replacing the damaged bits...

Really? aaah, he said that he had sold a pair.
I know Floyd now, he used to go to school with my Dad too.
I saw a TS head on ebay and gave the seller a call. It turned out he was 100 metres from my flat in London, and knew my Dad really well. I went round there for a chat. Unfortunately he had JUST sold his TS cars and Le Car Turbo. Really nice chap.
Small world this R5 business!

Maybe I'll aim to bring the TS to National day this year, it would be nice to put names to faces.
You take your LeCar Turbo on track Sparkie?
