First post!

Hi, i'm Mike, live in Northern Ireland and I am a fan of the renault 5. Joined RTOC to get as much help and advice as I can.

First car was a 5 campus about 4 or 5 years ago, only had 33k miles on it and was a real minter if I'm honest. Unfortunately it died an awful death due to a tree getting in the way of its roof. So i bought another 5 as a project, found one in a barn with 50 something thousand on the clock, was a white gtx, got all the turbo bodykit together and getting other bits and bobs together. I left the car for a few months in my grandas barn while i worked and tried to get a few pounds together. When I decided to do some more work to it I found that the gypsies had come and took it for scrap, they did leave an engine but that was a killer for the 5 projects for a while.

So, now I'm set up in my own house with my own garage and have been thinking for a while about a new project. I looked at mx5's, starlets, golfs, but I just didn't fancy them. I want a gtt and there wasn't anything else that could really sway me away from one. So I have been searching ebay, gumtree and pistonheads for a project car and found one last week. Got a blue gtt off ebay that needs work, but I want something thats gonna keep me in the garage away from the girlfriend haha. Just looking forward to getting it now, it's getting lifted this weekend so should have it next week.

Hope to see you all around the boards, will definitely be needing all the advice and tips I can get :)

Mike
