Hay I was wondering if anyone has have any rear fog light relays for a renault 5 gt turbo phase 2 ? Thanks alot warren
Rear fog light circuit goes through the main light switch stalk then off to the fog light switch then the rear cluster. Whats up with you fog light?
hya mate well iv had problems with my main beam, washer jests and rear fog :crap: haz has had the dashboard loom out and cheeked for me and put back in but still no main beam washer jets or rear fog and i havent got a rear fog light relay in the fuse box, i really dont no anything about wiring so im really stuck but obv carnt pass MOT with out the above :crap:
I would change your light stalk switch first as that may fix 2 of the 3 faults..
The washer jets might just be a crap connection on the pump motor.
Okay mate yeah Haz said I should change the stalk so hopefully that will sort it :) will do that as soon as thanks alot
I didn't think there was a fog light relay, it's listed in the Haynes though, bottom right relay in the fuse box.
Think it's the stalk atm for the main beam issue.
Wipers are the other stalk, this is working as had to test the wires when swapping to the BMW bottle and pump. I recon that's the pump at fault, maybe seized?
right okay so i should get both stalks n see what happends :) iv bought a new pump for the washers tho and there still not working :crap:

No fog really, its either the stalk or fog switch.
Yeah get both then, didn't realise you'd tried a new pump.
So what the relay in the fuse box nick?
Iv orderd the stalk so should be here before the weekend so can give it ago and iv sorted out the washer jets the plugs Wernt connected properly so had to trim some plastic ov the clip but it works so all good
Me new stalk came today side lights working and high beam working still no main beam :/
That's a weird one, from the dash loom it splits into the chassis legs so you'd assume the fault was before those connectors. Dash loom tested fine, fuses were ok and now a different stalk. Will test it on the car now there's power next time I'm over your way. is the fog sorted now too?

I no it's abit strange really :/ iv still not tested the fog light had to rush work but will try it when I'm in tonyt iv asked a man from a local garage that iv none for years to see if he can just wire them up on toggle switches saves the messing about with the loom so think I may just do that for now
And rear fogs still not working Haz :/

when operating the full beam does the blue light on the dash activate?
Fog light dash light comes on though? And the bulb is ok?
Yeah tony, blue light comes on on the dash. Tells me new bulds where fitted. Tested the loom in situ, continuity tested lights back to dash loom ok, he's took the loom out and and I've been through that and is now ok and the stalk has been swapped. Both sides aren't working so had presumed it was dash loom or stalk. Fuses/relays are good.
Will just have to go through it again next time I'm over.

Have you checked the relay in the fuse box? Theses a relay in there that feeds the dipped/head lights. You here it click when you go from side to main lights when you turn the swalk switch. Also is your dim dip resistor plugged in ok?
is that the pink connector, white one? the one thats not part of the main fuse board but loose in there? think that was missing so used one off another loom, but no guarentee it works as couldn't power the loom up.

Think it's a carter one, not a common relay. Think it was 6pin with 2 smaller pins to the side. Renault only rather than a motor factors.

nope, the bottom right was the one listed as the fog light relay. it is on your loom just not part of the fuse board. drop the casing off, it'll be tucked up ther somewhere.

Haz iv looked today at me loom and iv already got one ov them relays :/
The pink one? Yeah I fitted one from a spare loom I have, just didn't know if it worked or not, swap over to the new one and give it a try
Does anyone no the part number for the dipped beam relay iv had everything checked out today for hours and it looks like there is one missing the bottom right relay on the pic I posted
Posted your relay today mate first class, if it doesn't work then you can blame haz's wiring :D
