questiion , anyone know how hard it would be to fit a cooper s lump??

my buddy has got a cooper s come in his yard . its been hit in the rear. the lump has only covered 30,000 miles. was thinking how hard would it be to fit into a five?? hmmmm........ supercharged reliable five.

anyone have any idea whats involved???

Depends on lots of things !

How is the throttle operated ?
How heavy is the lump ?
Can the ECU be unlocked ?
Where are the mounts ?

My son often asks can X Y or Z be done to a car. The answer is always the same. With time and money : Yes.

Great engines, my last coops was just under 220, they just pull and pull all the way to the red.

Go for it, would make a great one to watch :)

I could think of a fair few engines I would rather fit in a five before one of those, and a whole lot easier.
