View Full Version : NW annual Karting world championship! NOW BOOKED 27/4/13 13:00
Anyone up for a bit of karting fun?
We had the event last year at: http://www.hootonparkcircuit.co.uk/Services.html and to say it was fun was be an understatement!
I think it was around £40 ahead but I can find out definitive prices when I know numbers. I was thinking sometime in April?
Let me know what you think......
lots of interest as per:scratch:
I'm definitely interested Alex, i will have to see what i can pull out of the bag regards child care as I'm presuming it will be either sat/sun, that's my shift on as superdad. I will also see if my bro fancies it;)
where is it exactly alex the link wont work for me
It's my job holds me to ransom I'm up for it :)
The link should work?
The circuit can be found by taking Junction 6 on the M53 motorway, signposted "Vauxhalls". Follow the exit to the mini roundabout, go straight across the roundabout. After the roundabout follow West road for 100 yards then take the left turn into the Hooton Airfield, opposite the Vauxhalls car park. Turn immediately right after the airfield gates and follow the road around to the track

Sorry for my tardiness in getting back to you all. Date has yet to be confirmed but I spoke to them the other day and 90% sure it's going to be held on April the 28th.
The price is £45 per person for the full GP - much fun as anybody that went last year will confirm!
It was a good laugh last year, I'm karting on the 20th so not sure if my stomach will be up to another dose the week after :D
I'm in the process of parming off my kids on someone as we speak;)
will add my name for definate once I'm sorted

Should be good oushhhhh :yeah:
Nice one lads good to see you all!:smokin:
Ace day!:agree: Loved it, thanks to Alex for organising it:)
I will let the winner inform you all himself;) suffice to say it wasn't me:laugh: the rain in the final certainly mixed up the finishing positions and caused quite a few pirouettes. All apart from the winner, he was the fastest on the day by far and deserved the win.
I have ended up with a broken toe:eek: i ended up going straight into the side of a kart that had spun infront of me, said kart shot up in the air and landed on my foot:scratch: my toe is about three times the size it should be and is rather purple.
All good fun tho. The track is ace and my arms and grip are still sore now. Sorry me and my bro had to shoot off, one of my kiddies isn't to well so couldn't hang around.
Hey guys, a big thanks to everyone for attending and I hope you had a great day - I'm sure you did! :D
The racing was pretty close - a bit too close at several stages but it was all great fun. Phil, can't believe you broke it mate  hope you're not in too much pain. Hope the kiddy is ok too. The 2 heats were bone dry but about half way through the final we had a shower which certainly spiced things up.
And the result....
1st Tony
2nd Mike
3rd Me!
fastest lap also went to Tony - he was just too damn fast!
Speedy Gonzalez was tony!! Thanks Alex for organising it.
Sorry for crap pic upload lads, maybe one of you on a PC can orientate it properly?? :agree:
Holy smokes, broken toe:disagree:
Other than that, great day. Praise be to alex:agree:
