any1 remember how 2 make a clutch alignment tool out of a few sockets? Used to be on the old site

Use your finger.
since the crank doesn't have a spigot you don't need to be as accurate as with some cars. Finger tips onto the outside edge of the plate works just fine.

I used a sealey one this morning, cost me £2 brand new from Maccess :D

:agree: or a suitable sized handle screwdriver, hammer, torch, etc :D
You can usually line it up good enough anyway by sight and/or feel.

cool beans, got the modified clutch cover done, just waiting on the 4 puc helix friction plate to tutn up and it should be back on the road, will upload a pic of the mess that was caused by a release bearing falling apart, nearly 2 weeks its been off the road cant wait to take her for a ragging
I used a screwdriver with my Datsun last year, clutch fitted sweet as a nut.
i usually wrap some tape around an extension bar untill
i get the desired thickness , oh errr .... :scared:

fingers . you can't do better than fingers . feel alround the plate to make sure it is equal alround the pressure plate . then nip up the bolts . job done . :)
