View Full Version : flywheel problems
can i change the flywheel with the engine and box in? the teeth are stripped on it :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Best off taking the engine out and leaving the box in mate. The box can come out leaving the engine in but its a carry on in my experience
I changed my gearbox with engine in mate bit awarkward but it is do able gota have strong back lol
secondly anyone have a flywheel
as above, your best off removing the engine. Its much quicker.
When I changed my clutch a few months back I thought it would be easier just removing the box by lifting it up through the gap - I was wrong :sad2:, lost of swearing and fannying about trying to get it lined up again

As mentioned in other threads the use of the word (balanced) take as within tolerance not balanced to your engine.
Thanks
Mike
what weight limit is on that parcel mike?
is there any adjustment in the starter? as in can it be moved closer to the flywheel
bump! any one know if i can do this?
If you take the dowel out you will get a bit of adjustment. Is the dowel in the correct place?
there was no dowel?
That'll be why it stripped the teeth. Make sure you put one in before you fit the starter motor. You cant really make any adjustment to the starter and you shouldn't need to :)
