View Full Version : Piper 285 cam, valve springs, and 195/45-15" tyres

Happy New Year to all.

Long shot I know, but I'm after the following if anyone has them for sale...

Piper 285 camshaft - Would need to know the spec though, as Piper have produced several different variants of their 285 cam over the years. Lobes etc must be in good condition.

Piper or Catcams valve springs.

Also after a decent treaded set of 195/45-15" tyres. No puncture repairs, bulged/cracked sidewalls, or 'wanli ditch-finders' ;)

Hi Mart - I may have a vernier that has 1 stripped thread in it if you are struggling. You can have it for nowt if nothing else comes along.

Do you know the spec of the 285; ie, cam/valve lift, full lift point, timing figures?

There's only a couple of Piper 285's which fit the bill. The rest are a bit 'mild'.

Let me know about the tyres please mate :agree:

It did Mike, but not the type of '285' I'm after. Nothing wrong whatsoever with your sticks, just I'm after the older variant of it. Thanks anyway though :)

How much can you supply the springs for?

It's fine mate, thanks all the same; I can sort it with them if needs be. Might be going down the higher rocker ratio route now anyway.

Could you PM me a price for the springs though please :agree:
