Problem on idle

Hello everyone-

I ran the car a little bit low on fuel the other day- not massively low, but since then it idles erratically. It will idle fine on 800 rpm for a minute or so, then splutter until I give it some revs. It also splutters when I put my foot down. Is it the obvious that a bit of ****e has been caught in the carb, or do you think it could be something else?

Try cleaning out the idle jet fella

Wow that was quick! What's the best way of going about cleaning it?

take it out and blow it through with an airline

You can use your lungs if needs be;) mine pulls apart into two bits, give it a real good blow:cooter: it's the large flat head screw on the drivers side of the carb.

it will most likely be a bit of ****e, hopefully it's just clogged the idle jet and not anywhere else.
