Hi all,
ive moved my Coolant bottle to the opposite bay behind the O/S head light to make space for my air filter on the N/S.

I have moved all 3 pipes and wondered if it mattered whether i have swapped the 2 bottom hoses (1 to Water Pump & 1 to center of bay beside the down pipe (Heater matrix)?).

It just seems that both bottom pipes that go into the bottom of the bottle are linked together as if its one reservoir for both sides.

I have turned the bottle around so the old side which went to the water pump now goes to the heater matrix, as you say, id have to slightly stretch one pipe if i were to swap them back to their original way...
Does it matter which way round the 2 bottom pipes fit to the coolant bottle?
:scared:
Thanks

It doesn't matter which way the bottom hoses on header tank are fitted, will be fine

Excellent, cheers Brigsy,
i had to cut the end off the (fat bit) pipe as it had a split 10mm from the end,
took me an hour to get that hose back on, even after a soak in hot water, was dreading having to do it again..

Been there done that mate:D

I binned the degas chamber on my setup too. I think the coolant system consists of 7 hoses in total now.

How did you bypass the degas chamber? and secondly, what is it LOL
assuming its the bottle itself?
I have the problem now where as soon as i shut the bonnet, it pushes the coolant bottle and the pipes rub on the timing belt wheel.. lucky i noticed but need to fix a bracket so i can use the rubber strap again..

I used copper pipe and bender and chopped up some hoses to make fit.

Also, can you tell me what/how you secured the bottle/tank?

The bottle held its self up with the hoses supporting. Sure you could bracket it if need be

Its a devil strut brace that were fitted to the cup cars mate, big money when they come up for sale. Nice and light though.
