One of the best films ever let alone British, no special effects no CGI just a superb gritty storyline and a magnificent cast led by M Caine at his mean and moody best, there is even a sad character called Thorpe.
Apparently Rod Stewart wasnt too impressed with the scene where his future wife Brit Eckland writhed seminaked on her bed talking to Carter on the phone.
