I like the way they give away a lot of the hard-earned how-to information without a single mention of the guy that did it, I bet he's chuffed at that :dearme: :D

Top marks to Duncan & Scoff for the building & development of the car & then to Minty for finally getting it onto a magazine covershoot. :niceone:

Need to have a closer look at my VAG Clio now though to see where i can get 330bhp from a K04 turbo  :tuttut: :wasntme:

Dawn, could of treated the gang to colour pics of the car at least :D:D:D

Glad to see it in the mag and a lot of the tech stuff mentioned. Would have been nice to get a mention along with Scoff and a few other people who made the conversion the sucsess it was but Paul sent me a text to say he did tell them but they never printed it. Bit crap of the mag to not mention it or at least have a thanks sections - oh well, happy with the time I had with the car and the development of it, it's and excellent little car (not as good as the vx though :D)

Paul you could have painted the bonnet hinges :Dlol

Well done with the feature ;)

Scoff when you coming out of retirement to finish some of my 4wd BIG power ideas mixing french and VAG again - think more cylinders and twin turbos this time ;)

Scoff

you'll be lucky, if it involves getting my hands dirty I don't want to know these days  more cylinders are good, I've done a little bit of tuning with some 6 pots of late, loving the sound of bigger motors these days.

aii, paul had already told me that they'd omitted a lot of stuff, cracking pics though, top job paul :)

If you put gloves on your hands will be fine ;)

RS4 4.2 v6 twin turbo engine + PMT modes = easy 600bhp

You know you want to - may even let you put some stand alone ecu stuf on it :D

You've really hung up the gloves then? How come? I thought it was just a myth to scare the newer members i.e. me!

It's no mechanical stuff for me anymore chris, I stick to mapping, ECU fitting and loom making these days :)

Some  pics there.. remember the night it rolled in to Noc with the engine in the boot  soon clicked and pretty much watched the build come along by Scoff and Dunc. Some awsome work went in to that and alot of hours... Good to see its gone to a good home and staying with the club.. :agree:

Was well impressed when I saw this. Bit of a coincidence aswell considering I just got myself a Seat Leon Cupra and know how quick these engines are, and thats at 180bhp and weighing more aswell lol

Full credit for all the work thats gone into it

Thanks for all the comments :) the car did deserve a feature, like i said to duncan and scoff iv emailed the mag as asked where the thanks bit went off the bottom of the profile, they missed it out for some reason!! so there should be a big thanks to everyone who had a part to do with the build and of the course the RTOC in marchs issue:cool:

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

I got real excited when I saw it on the front, so you can imagine my frustration when I get it home to find 10 pages are missing from the mag....including the VAG 5 story  thankfully the shop exchanged it
