I owned this car about 7 years ago after being offered it for £150. The problem was I never had storage and another friend offered to store it and put my spare engine in it whilst I was working overseas. It was a bare shell at the time after having new year arches and sill put on it. Engine was in a million bits but all in labeled boxes with new liners, pistons etc. the original owner was very anal and had everything labelled and marked out in photos and drawings as to where it was positioned. It WAS a good solid car. My friend decided to sell it onto mike which I was not best pleased, including my engine and the spares. As you can guess I don't talk to him anymore!
I dropped in at mikes a few months ago to see if he had a phase 1 turbo for my restoration and was surprised to see him and the car still sitting. It needs a lot of work after sitting outside for the last 5 years or so but to be honest how many do you see now.

Really feel for the genuine owner there. Absolutely gutted for him. :(

He only gets away with what's he's doing/done because of his remote location. He knows nobody will drive 100 miles for £30

Bought a rad and steering rack for my phase 1 11 turbo off him without any issues, just glad I could get the parts i needed from somewhere!
