Bms is one of the pipes going about, there are a few custom ones with different flanges etc.. The other is the big jim but I'm not sure if he's doing any, the club stocked some for a while..

Best bet is eBay chris! You can get an elbow with a separate 2.5 inch down pipe then do abit on the elbow. My engine breathes sweet as a nut. But you won't really get any issues with a standard downpipe if you're looking for less than 200-180bhp

bms stopped hence the big jim ones did the rounds, both come up but normally £150-200 and sell quick...

fecking quick

Both boris and jim made pukka down pipes but only did a small amount each. Expect to pay £200 and up. Not seen one on here for a while and I don't look on eBay anymore but it would be my first port of call. My bms sold in about 30 mins on here for about £230.

cgb sell the big jim 2.5 but be warned you will need a 2.5 front pipe or side exit to match otherwise it will leak gases we just had the same prob so got a 2.5 sidey lol

You could buy a T28 flange from ebay and a k-tec down pipe and then find a fabicator to fill in the gap. :)

Jim did a deal with CGB to supply him exclusively. He didn't want to deal direct with end users any more.

In a worse case scenario .. Would you still get the same benefit as the big Jim down pipe if you purchased a 2.5 cross over pipe and that GTtuning high flow elbow?? Think both together is about £160 ... How ever just how much bigger is that high flow elbow?. Or isit a load of old tosh?.

as pretty as they are youve still only got the tiny penny wastegate plus the flow through the turbine to get rid of. External wastegate is the way forward if power is what your after.

my brother in law owns his own motorsport company in York and will more than likely be able to fabricate a downpipe like gttjames'.... iv sent him gttjames' photo (hope u dont mind!) so hopefully he will be keen on making some for the club. will let you all know :agree:

i got it direct from boris on the last batch he made up a few years now. Yep it looks pretty and gets rid of that small oe elbow bit off turbo and has a lambda bung welded in, perfect.

And yes lee your fine to use pics, theres more if you need them. The more that get made the better, every club member should have 1. I would offer for you to use mine but it was a pain to fit as i used the oe bolts and springs, bolts wernt long enough so had to get it on ramp, use a hydrulic jack to push bolt and compress spring and then get nut on other side, so im in no rush to take it off haha

it surprises me because when a bms downpipe comes up 2nd hand - its sold within a hour for 200-240

Now theres a offer of 200 for a similar new downpipe and people arnt interested?

Like iv said, i put my money in for a bms a few years ago and am very pleased with it. If i didnt have a bms id be putting my 200 in for one of these
