OK

I have done a search on here since it was pointed out to me that the wheel bolts on my car are all different lengths (OK I'm lying if I group them together each of my wheels has a different length wheel bolt).

My question is what is the standard size and length and does it matter if they are longer.

My 5 has no spacers and just had my wheels done. Just don't fancy seeing one of my wheels overtaking me because the bolts have sheared.

Also what is the seat angle or should they be flat?

PART NO.
(M12 x 1.5) THREAD
(mm) O.D. Ø OF HEAD
(°) SEAT
(mm) THREAD LENGTH
(mm) OVERALL LENGTH

EXAMPLE - M12 X 1.5 - 20MM - 60° - 30M - 50MM

Can buy a set on Flea Bay but just for a Renault it shows 3 different lengths.

Finally do they have to be bolts or can I fit studs and just use a nut?

5GT IIRC are M12x1.5, 60deg seat, 40mm thread length with 19mm hex head.

21Turbo are M14x1.5, 60deg seat, 40mm thread length with 19mm hex head.

Thanks. Will try and source some decent ones.

I take it no one uses studs?

You can do, I bought a stud kit for my 21, with +20mm length. Not cheap mind, about sixty quid, then the wheels I wanted required slim fit bolts with star key and I had to shell out another wedge for 60mm bolts lol

There's a good site here, this is the R5 alloy wheel page

http://www.wheelspacers.uk.com/index.php?cat=c580_Renault.html&bezeichnung=R5&typ=B,%20C40,%20C40S&felge=alu

Stacks of options for bolts.
