Hi all...
I had serious jip last year with my Polo and the locks freezing... a few times the only way I could get in, was in through the Boot lol.
Would WD40 do the job?... I've head Vaseline is good also? :cartman:

Wd40 will keep it lubricated and dry. You can also get lock de icer from halfords.

POE 68 oil. Refrigeration/air conditioning oil. It's the only oil I'm aware of that doesn't freeze. Couple of drops and you're away.

Got loads if u want some if your nearby Essex

That POE 63 souds the job... but I'm in N.Ireland :(
One of my bud's is an AC Engineer... I'll give him a shout... I'm shure he'll have a drop or 2.

I've always been wary of WD40 as it seems like summit that could wreck paint?.. maybe I'm just being silly

POe 68 is what I've always used. Your A/C mate will defo have some. I use it in freezers for lubricating locks on doors etc. it won't freeze until about -40.

keeping your locks clean and well oiled is about the best way of course . but yes somtimes they do freazze up . always carry a lighter so you can warm the key up . no point buy anti lock freazze when you keep it inside the car,(think about that one how do you get inside the car to get to the antifreaze) ;)

vaseline ive heard before not tried it, When i used to work at Ladbrokes they used to put vaseline in the locks because protestors used to try and glue the locks before Grand national day lol

wd40 great for cleaning things but doesnt stay on for very long, if its rusted then wd40s the king, to prevent it sticking id say some form of grease/oil maybe a little CV grease if you have it? work it in with the key.
