not too bad once you can release the dash, dash doesn't need to come out just forward, i've done mr raiders and ipswiches :agree:

I've done it a few times in various car's and it's much easier getting the complete dash out.

Tip is take both front seats out first to give you plenty of room, and also be careful with dash side clips and the 3 upper ones other than that it's pretty straight forward.

If you want to see what it looks like behind the dash before you take it all off look at the profile photo of mine with the wires. As for tips, I'd say make sure you don't break the clips on either side of the dashboard when you remove it. You can put your hand down and prise the off. I snapped one off and it means the dashboard sags a bit on one side.. :(

I took the whole dash off when I did mine but i'd try to do it keeping it mostly on as has been said, trying to position the thick wiring loom behind the dash and trying to get all the air heater pipes in the right place on refitting was a ballache.

Done quite a few now. Get a secondhand pair of hands it makes life a lot easier. Barbara and I got a dash out Sunday evening in the dark by touch in under an hour and not breaking any items.

What an exciting life we have :sad2:

You should organise a school trip to your yard. Teach them about mechanics and get them to strip your shells.
Now then now then now then.

She has been kind enough to help out over the years. On your first one take your time maybe have a digital camera to hand to see which way things go back. You may want to labels bits with masking tape.

Leave the loom attached to the dash.

When I did it, it was the top middle clip that gave me a problem. Wouldn't come off. I eventually pulled so hard that the fascia partly broke in two.

I have bent a bar to shape to help release these clips, yes as you say some things are well stuck in place and other parts are quite fragile
