Dowe need can shafts??? Or throttles???? Interesting read in "bike" mag today..... Computer controlled everything..... No cams or throtle...... Apparently lotus built an engine with this it could rev instantly from tickover to full chat in one rev!!!!

i think the fiat twin air uses solenoids on the valves.... been talked about for years.

peugeot VTI engines dont have a throttle as such, just solenoids to control the valve lift to control the engine speed

Maybe we will see electric cars use the idea of no cam shaft or throttle body in a few years :eek:
