1.5 dci/k9k engine.

You are going to need the crank timing pin and a cam timing pin, there should be paint marks on and inside the belt to help time it up.
The pump timing mark lines up with the bolt hole that holds the engine cover on.
Does it have a sensor bolted into the timing cover?

do you know if i can use a drill or anything for the crank?

i know the cam can be done with a 7 or 8mm drill...

Not in the crank as the pin butts up against the crankshaft.

If you give me a few minutes I can get the dimensions of the pin? Perhaps you could make one?

could be a possibilty, but i know Renault says you nééd to use the pins but i changed a belt on a Leon tdi recently without one too (was required according to VW).

the most important thing is, does the crank pouly has a key?

Looking at the nt notes for a k9k engine, it says that upto 2/12/05 if the engine is fitted with a single piece cam sprocket, it will have a keyless bottom pulley, after this date if the engine is fitted with a two piece cam sprocket it will have a crank pulley with a key way.
But you still need the locking pin for the crank......:crap:

See if a friendly Renault garage will let you borrow tool number mot 1489 and a couple of the pins from kit number mot1430. (There is 5 of them in the kit).
Bottom pulley torque is 60 nm and 100 +/- 10 if it is an M12 bolt. An M14 bolt is 120nm and 95 +/-15.

to borrow the stuff is not the problem, the problem is i'm not near my friends Renault garage atm and wanted to do the belt tomorrow:crap:
