I don't like different colour/material bonnets. Each to thier own mate :)

Are you spraying ronals black too?

So my carbon bonnet has sufford a bit over the winter no scratches it seems to have faded and gone cloudy.. Now should I have it mopped and leave it or should I mop it and laquer it? My paint guy says you don't laquer carbon?

I've just bought a carbon bonnet for my phase 1 tonight. Didn't realise they needed that much care to be honest.

So a rub down with wet and dry paper, buff up and re lacquer?

Handy to know if mine ever does fade.

They will come back with a good polish too - be worth trying that before getting re-laquered etc

my old megane was the Demo car for Streamline Carbon so had loads of bits - any exterior piece of carbon will have been lacquered before sale (or should have at least) so should be protected from UV etc. If it does dull down its just like lacquered paint - harsh polish initially followed by softer polishes to bring back the shine
If the shine wont return then it would be a matter of flatting and relacqering

Streamline Carbon offer a rectification service - they arent cheap but it will be spot on afterwards

I found bumper gel used to bring my old carbon bonnet up well. Shame it didnt take the ripples out though lol
