Hi all, I'm looking for some extra ££ to sort my wheels out.

I got these parts with the 5 i purchased,
The guy said they were all ok and he seemed to be honest about the condition of the car so assume they are but im sure someone who knows what theyre looking at will know.

They're just sitting in my garage taking up space and collecting dust,.

Maybe you can make them out, im not sure what they're even worth!
But would need to be collected (Hertfordshire) EN7 area

Ill reply with a few other pics of grills etc.

Thanks

Stu

Could you tell me how thick the head is mate and if it looks in good condition across the face (no pitting), might be interested in it.

Mark you'll have to excuse my noobism
What do i measure?
Is the face the underside of the side ive shown?
I'll take a few close up pics,

@Wallace (on this site) had a quick look at it, i think he said it didn't look too bad but you or I can confirm because i haven't a clue as to what im looking for.

Ill try to take the pics now then post back..

I think mark means the thickness from the top to tge bottom (where the head bolts go through to the side where the gasket sits).

Yes, he does mean the height of the head, only real way to measure it is with some calipers, at different points around the head. You could just pop into an engineering shop and ask if they will measure it for you.

73.5 Mm is standard, anything under 73mm and the chambers will need some work to reduce the compression or the pistons will, unless you are purposely going for a high comp motor. ;)

Yea i checked on youtube to see what to measure but used a Measuring tape lol
Looks like 74mm
I know someone who may be able to measure it accurately as i don't have the caliper tool to.

Anyone got any idea how much its worth?
Got a couple people interested but dont know what to suggest as price lol

the end of the tape measure only needs to be bent a tiny bit to put the measurement out, vernier callipers the only way to measure it properely. Deffinetly worth getting it done, if its full thickness its worth more :agree:

Yea, ill get it measured and take it on Meets with me or sell it as a collection only.
That way people can decide for themselves as i just dont know what im looking at and dont want to start forking out sending it back & forth through the post.

Was only expecting £60-£80 even if its full thickness but let me measure first :)

Thanks Alot

Stuart

*Update*
Wallace came round this evening, had a look around the Head and measured it using the (verniers)
averaging 73.5
Most places measured 74.5 but one spot was 72.6ish
One of the plug sockets is cross threaded and there is a small hairline crack between the 2 little discs as per the pics.
All discs have some pitting but nothing major.
One of the springs needs one of those little V shaped things? to hold the disc in. (forgot the name of it).
Looking for £40 + Postage or collection from EN7 area
Thanks

Deeeeeeefinatley not meaning to piss on your fire here Stu :agree:

The head measured: 73.44 - but had an area that went to 73.26

Nothing measured 74.5! - it'd be brand new;)

Sorry, my bad, thats all that carb cleaner ive been breathing in lol
Im sure there was a spot that went to 73.5?
Anyway,
I actually put 7.34mm first then thought, that don't look right and moved the decimal place lol
attached pic of that hairline crack you spotted.
