Sorry for the multiple inundation of questions,.. I have a lot to learn!

When i bought this 5, the engine had recently been reinstalled/put back together.
Unfortunately, the pipes etc hadn't all been done up tight and the poor cow was leaking oil like anything (my driveway can prove that until i degreased it all).

I don't have signs of oil drip patches on my drive now but the Engine & bay stinks of it!

After 20 mins driving a hot engine, fumes have become a bit annoying and i don't want to turn my heater/fan on as it seems to exacerbate it.

I've covered/blocked the Distributer cap and managed to clean the head etc,
but what do you suggest on the rest? (without stripping the whole thing down again) to clean all the old 5hitty oil off?
Steam? Jet? degrease?

steam/degrese it all but stay away from the electrics, should do the job.

Im abit lucky as got a parts cleaner sink at work, so whenever anything come out it goes in there and i give it a degrease.

Water based degreaser and a brush & rinse it off with a hosepipe. Cover the airfilter make sure that it doesn't get wet, dont worry about the rest
