View Full Version : Wheels Refurbed, What colour should i go with?

As you can see, the Momo Arrows that came with my 5 have taken quite a bashing and in desperate need of a Refurb..
I found a PLace in Hitchin that does sand blasting/Powder coating for about £35 per wheel.
Question is, what colour should i go for?
(Also having problems getting replacement center stickers).

I'd say stick with the sliver for a white car, if not maybe go for a lairy loud colour to stand out! :D;)

Dude, is the £35 just for sand blasting and paint? Or does this include the alloy referb (then sand blast and paint)?

Just check that the alloys are not buckled!

Silver, White or Black.

My Email to them indicated they needed refurbing.
I assum they would be refurbed then sand blasted then powder coat - paint.

Ill check beforehand as there is another company more local offering the above for £50 a wheel.

£50.... That sounds about right for referb, sandblast and paint.

If the £35 is for all the above, they may have some more business put there way ;)

Looks V nice!

I need to see other colours to compare between the Black/Silver/Gun Metal.
Not overly keen on White.,.

I have had white wheels, what a pain to clean. Anthracite look nice but not on a white car IMO. I would go silver or black :)

Thats the exact reason i won thave white!
the cars a pain to cleand as it is lol.

Anthracite is winning the bet at the moment!

White isn't hard especially on arrows bud try mine with 35spokes now that's hard but more than worth it.. Go pink be different :D

Pink? Lol,
I watched a powder coating vid on utube and that was pink.
My feminine side wasn't that strong!

White wheels on your Red 5 look nice, but not entirely convinced about white on white?

i'll paint my calipers whilst the wheels are absent., they need to match.
Thinking Red or Blue Calipers..

Do the calipers black or silver, less chavvy and wont discolour as much. Black is my choice as it hides brake dust well.

Just so happens ive got a pot of hammerite Black in my garage after doing my Wipers..
Problem is, its Matt.. I cant lacquer over it as it reacts with Hammerite..
I'll have to wet sand the wipers again and get some Vinyl Black..

White on white only works if you get a good colour match, and then the car needs a good de-con and polish.Otherwise the car ends up looking yellow.

I'd stick with silver. Maybe one with a good bit of flake :)

Black all day for me! Only issue is everyone has black wheels! And you loose some of the detail of the wheel.

I have black Williams wheels with black calipers just to keep things simple and subtle;)

I know seems well cheap. Should be able to get them courried for under 20 each way, not to bad still?

Was expecting about £50 one way..
Ill see what these guys in Hitchin say, i was hoping to drop off one day then pick up after a couple days.
Ill have to stick the 5 on bricks whilst they're being done..
