View Full Version : Rear Screen Removal
As it states above- I am going to have a go at this today.
I have looked at past posts and it just says to push the screen out from the inside pretty much. Surely there is more to it than this??
Any advice would be gladly received :)
Its only held in by the rubber.
Just start to lift the rubber over the edge of the metal window frame from the inside. It will come out almost like removing a push bike tyre from the rim. I wouldnt do it on your own tho :)
Thank you very much for the advice.
I'll have a go later on- when my gf can help lol.

As said easy enough to do.
If you can't wait for help pop the boot and do it with the lid up pushin it up and out ;)

how did it go?
how did it go?
I'll let you know in about 12 hours. Lol. Doing it tomorrow instead :)
Well it's out :) bit of a fiddly job but I did it.
I found it easiest to lift the screen slightly. I did this by putting a screwdriver in the water drain gap, use a bit of pressure and lift the screen and try to get the inside rubber clear of the metal lip.
I then removed the screwdriver and gently went round the screen with the two screwdrivers moving the glass up until it popped out.
Next question- how to put it back in???? Lol

You put the rubber on the glass all the way round then in the groove of the rubber you put a thin but strong string all the way around then you offer the glass up to the hole and place the ends of the string inside the car, then with someone pushing the glass inwards you pull on the string which should pull the rubber seal over the groove of the tailgate, simples.
I just put it back in with my fingers.. easy peasy
