smoke advice

hi folks, i have a b18ft engine in my 5. when i start t from cold, i get a lot of blue smoke (oil) but when its warm the smoke goes away and its fine, any ideas?

Valve stem oil seals/ seats worn

I'm thinking turbo as there is oil all round the dump valve, I'm upgrading it anyway so hopefully that's it, as can't do without car for a rebuild

Check the air filter hose just after the breather pipe, see if its not the engine breathing and dumping oil into the turbo

If smokes for little after start up does sound like steam seals or turbo on its way
