hi people wondering if you could help me.

i have a cam that i have removed out of an engine unsure of what it is the lobes have a different profile to a standard one. it is stamped on the end, it reads 709-110't. and also how do i tell if there are uprated valve springs or standards, thanks in advance

sounds standard but i'm probably wrong....

springs iirc standard have 7 coils, piper have 6 and catcams have 5

cheers bud just counted them now mine have 7 coils on them, so their standard springs, reason i ask it was a bit burbly on idle before i stripped it, got me thinking. thanks:)

Have you got pic of the end of the cam?

Sounds like a K-Tec cam to me as normally it only has 'CU' stamped on the end

yep, i thought the ktec one was a 709 piper.

-btw standard springs often have red colouration....
