Need a little advice on how you build one of these.
Ive gota cheapo single hose one from ebay, i need to extend the hose, what should i use and where from, do i need to ensure that it dosent rub on things, or just run it through the window ?.
Also do i just clamp the probe with a bolt and washer to the head?

it *must* be hard nylon for best results, the 6mm stuff works great. Bolt it anywhere you like but I find the cylinder head works best on C1J, maybe because of the wet liners. On non-wet liner engines either the head or the top of the block works fine.
hard nylon, is that like washer pipe u can buy from halfordS?

Looks like a great ides, anyone tried it?
I tried this a couple of Years back. Although on a turbo mini. My setup suffered from interference from the HT lead so went back to the Steph. Maybe worth using some sheilded cable to the clip.

I think a screened twisted pair cable to Mic should solve HT pickup.
