Shouldn't need a 2 post ramp to do a gearbox mate, its easy enough to take the gearbox out with car on the floor.
Can be done by either takiing engine/gearbox out or just pull the box out itself, took me 2-3hrs last time

4 out of my 5 gearbox swaps were done on the driveway

cheers mark was just bit concerned about my bodywork thought maybe easier by ramp could do with a hand if your offering looks like you have good knowledge any idea of best clutch to use?

To be honest mate a ramp won't be much use as the box hasw to come out the top either way, yeah you do have to be delicate to miss bodywork but taking time and the paint will be saved:)

Yeah can give you a hand mate, when was you thinking of doing it as i've got 2 clutchs to do soon (so should be a master at it:D)

Volvo clutch has never let people down, for a road clutch its best one to go for

mark do you have anytime off over crimbo or after new year? have you looked at my pics in profile jus so you know whats involved its a little different from standard ? last question do you know part number for volvo clutch cheers

Yeah i've got time off over christmas, only day i'm working is the 29th dec.

Yeah saw your car had the wide arch kit on it, saw it at Ace Cafe a few meets ago but we'll get round that. Did you want to do it at yours or here at mine i got all the bits here.

Haven't got it to hand but if you phone GSF up they should be able to source it for you, its the Valeo 'uprated' clutch they sell which is off the Volvo 480 turbo but listed for the 5
