With the weather as it is at the moment i can see the upcoming Oulton trackday as being a bit damp at best :D lol
My toyo t1s were great fun at blyton but arent really going to be up to any kind of rainfall as theres not much tread left. So im looking at a road legal track tyre thats going to be good in the wet.
i like the look of the yoko parada spec 2s pretty good prices for these at the moment? But im not so sure on there wet weather ability.
Any thoughts anyone?

I found that Toyo R888's are amazing in the wet I used them when it rained at Mallory a few years ago. On the road they're pretty poor in the rain but on track once you've got some heat into them they work a right treat.

Perhaps some new Toyo T1-R's? I've used them in the rain at Oulton and they seemed good. I tell you what though, I'm in trouble if it rains. Those Pirelli P600's spin up like mad on the 13" wheels! :sad2:

Toyo 888 i have tested them to the max in the wet very grippy, wouldn,t use anything else, cost can never be a issue over safety:)

as above, i have used R888 in the wet on track and once warm they were spot on, provided loads of predicatable grip

A normal road tyre 'should' be good on a wet/damp track day

On the vx220's the R1R tyre is a lot better in the wet over the 888 due to better tread pattern for water and also a lot taller blocks over 888 so more like 8mm new over the 888 5mm

No idea if they do them in sizes required but also a lot better tyre over a road tyre as its still a track styleeee tyre. Not as good in the dry as a 888 but a good all round road tyre

888 in bad weather in mid engineed rwd can be.........challenging at times lol

Gg r888's are pretty good in the wet/damp conditions. Sniff out some part worn 13" wet tyres??

I must of had bad uniroyals, I had them on my camparse and grip was terrible. I can't do 13s, big brakes altho very tempted to change.

The spec 2s just seem a bargain at 80 delivered for 2...
