Ok so removed the front bumper from my badly bodged (by previous owner) 5 tonight and it was only held on by two small bolts/screws one inside each wing.
Upon removal I could see what appeared to be the left overs of two mounting brackets which poked out of the back of the bumper towards the engine bay. I assume there are more mounting points than just the wings as my bumper rocked up and down as it was pivoting on the wing.
Any pointers as the where else the bumper is bolted/screwed to the front end?

i only ever used the 2 screws in the arches to hold my bumper on, so do 3 of my pals. they never seem to fall off. the bumper hangs on the plastic blocks, there are also some screws under the bumper to hold it on.
these ones go under the bumper

Those brackets are what must attach to the broken lugs.
I have the plastic blocks in there but even though the bumper still had some up and down movement...hhmm

Hhmm I can only assume those brackets go on the broken lugs I keep mentioning but have no idea where abouts they bolt to the car, I guess it is the subframe? I'll have to see if there are any holes conveniently in line with the lugs then.
Oh and your downpipe will be in post tomorrow Mr T

the locating holes on the subframe wont be hard to find once you trial fit the bumper with them L brackets.
