Hi guys i was thinking to upgrade my alternator to a more stronger one whit all the items i add it whit the efi and my twin fan setup i see that battery is draining out slowly when i not moving like for 10 min i don't have a big battery to start whit is only 450a so any help or tips will be great

Some years back I used to play around with alternaters, Volvo 4** have high output unit and some use same internal windings and just a case of swapping outer case over. Did 70A and 90A on the higher spec models.

the most ting i find a like is the opel astra 1989 1.7 gm motor is 70a the hosing is the same as the 5 one but the shaft is shorter so need to modify the bracket not a big deal and the old gm v8 use the same model to and you can buy one from the usa whit the output of 100a a upgrade for the old ones

Only issue you'll have is the belt can slip with the bigger alternator power, i just kept replacing belt when it got worn. Like the idea of a off the shelf 100A jobby, any links

the pulley is the same as the standard her link of one http://www.qualitypowerauto.com/catalog.php?item=8
