Hi all - I've noticed a small amount of oil weeping from my head gasket, furthest end from the gearbox.

Anyone had this or suggest any lines of enquiry?

You sure its not dripping from the rocker on to the gasket? maybe down the back by the waterpump.

possible gasket where it seals along the top where the pushrods pass through.?

Mine has done this since nd 11 on the van. Oil weeps out the headgasket when the engine gets hot. Must fix it one day :D

I wouldn't worry too much unless its gushing out.

Cheers for that Brigsy - It's making a Horrid tappetty noise aswell - don't know if I'm being a paranoid freak or not - need some 2nd opinions really. I'll be driving over to Scoffs on Sunday. Might let a few others make comments. I've got a Tubby manifold to go on after this weekend and also a 6 paddle clutch to go in, so possibly engine out and strip down after the weekend.

I think I have, but I think I've done it wrong. I went round them as per specified order and tightened them down to whatever nm it is. I'm not sure if you're supposed to slacken them off 1 at a time and re-torque.

If you're not going to help with my plight and simply use my thread as an excuse to take the piss then you can all jolly well carry on and aim it squarely at Ipswich

Engines coming out next week.
