Have had no end of troubles with this clio DCI, if its not one thing its another.

So far replaced steering rack, track rod ends, suspension top mounts, dog bone engine mount. And now see that the water pump is leaking slowly :crap:

Anyone tried replacing these before? Looks like it needs the belt off to do so so guess thats going to be a fun job in the first place with these engines. What tools needed or any hints on getting this done. Or anyone local want to attempt this :D

Easy mate.

Lock the crank and cam. I mark up the injection pump too, dont need to lock that out.

To help equalise the tension across the new belt, loosen off the 3 camshaft sprocket bolts.

Obviously change the water pump before you refit the new belt :wasntme:

Id offer to do it for you, if you lived nearby or had big tits.

Its only a short drive over and can offer a great curry from down the road :D

That dont sound too bad really. Any tools needed to lock the cam and crank or is this just bolts or drifts

To lock the cam I think its an M8 bolt, the crank is a slot found through the front of the block with an 7-8mm drill bit.

Bring it to Scoffs rolling road day, Ill do it there :-D

It is easy, youll wonder what the fuss was about after youve done it :p

Its my sisters car and I will have to stop every few miles to top up with water. Might take a while to get there  plus birthday weekend drinking preparing myself for an all inclusive holiday drinking more.
