Can some indicate what might be causing a bouncing oil pressure gauge. It does it on start up and continues until the engine temp is a 1/4 and then stops. Gauge moves with engine revs but cant point the reason it bounces to start with.

I have read that the temp gauge can do this becuase of a warped head but would the same apply for the oil gauge?

The oil gauge, is the oil level untill the engine starts then it becomes oil pressure. Very clever stuff... unfortunately they rarely work lol. atleast yours is half working, sounds like its a dodgy connection or broken wire to the oil level sensor at the front of the engine down in the sump, by the oil return from the turbo.
