Picked these Speedline 2118s up a couple of weeks ago, white Turinis now gone so a set of 15" wheels for show and the 15" OZ F1s for track.... That will do...... But miss turbo power :scared:

LOL! I'm just in process of purchasing an FF RB 182 and first thing I want to do is remove the anthracite 2118's and fit white turinis ;-)

Awesome Rickay

I'd love some 2118's for mine, but it's not low enough

Michelin PE 2's still available for 15's as well, the original, best and cheaper than 16's.

I assume the exact Turinis I did a deal with to get the Speedlines ;)

Cheers Billy, my 2nd set of 2118s and IMO the right wheel for this Clio :)

Pilot Sport 3s for the Turinis in 16s are a crazy price..... Another reason to go 15", it handles soo much better on 15s too

Would love to go to 15's for all those reasons but the Trophy just sits too high in original trim and they just look tiny in the arch.

True, the only option is to go aftermarket coilovers... BUT from what I hear the Sachs dampers are a hard act to follow

Pretty unbeatable as a fast road damper, I think, though a lot of owners are now opting for coilovers due to the exorbitant cost of getting the fronts refurbed. Can't blame them, coilovers with a lifetime guarantee or for the same price a refurb of oldish dampers with no guarantee on the work and no telling when they may fail again :(

Yep, from what I remember its circa £400+ per damper refurbed, you can buy a set of H&R coilovers for that kind of money or stretch to AST's.

I'm using Spax coilovers in 60mm Trophy/182 Cup fitment and to be fair for the price I paid along with the Codered geometry they're pretty dam handy. Along with the Whiteline RARB its transformed the handling :agree: :)

Nice wheels mate. Really like them/they suit your 182  :agree:

Hmmm...

AST could are really shooting themselves in their own foot due to shocking aftersales service so the H&R seem to be getting the nod as the units to go for. Personally I think a Trophy without the Sachs loses it's character but it can still be bettered, I went for solid top mounts, brembo discs, pagid blue pads, goodridge brake cables, two degrees of negative camber and a little toe out. A fair few swear by the whiteline arb and coupled with something like the Mark Fish springs and revalved Koni rears make into something thats even more "fun"

Edit; Toe out not in.

not sure if same wheels, I got them from James on CS (Trophy no. 87 I think) but he bought them just for the tyres

I don't really like the 2118's so they are probably getting sold unless they look okay on the mk1, i'll run the turinis for a bit but ideally I want to get the Williams wheels refurbed and bung them on the 182. or perhaps the superlegs.................dammit too many wheels!

either way though I love an RB 182 and yours looks darn tidy :smokin:

Yep THE same wheels that were on my RB :D I met up with James 2-3 weeks ago as he was putting the Trophy back to OE. You can never have enough wheel choice IMO :D

You bought an RB yet then?

Yep the Mark Fish route seems to be the choice of so many. I'm running exactly the same geometry, ideal for fast road and commuting :ashamed:

Bar the solid top mounts I have a pretty dam similar setup to you, braided hoses waiting to go on, have Carbon Lorraine RC5 pads only for track, Brembo HC discs up front already.

I'm kind of used to the power now and hankering for something more, I don't want to spend stupid money on eeking out little BHP/gains. Been toying with turbos for over a year now in a Clio but not sure I want to go down that route in this 1, I'd love to get back in the turbo game :)

I've settled to enjoying it for what it is, like you say it's a fairly fruitless and very expensive journey looking for extra horses from this engine, the cheapest least intrusive RS2 has proven hit and miss and turbo and TB's ......well I'd rather spend the cash elsewhere. My main gripe is that small though it is it still feels like it's been eating all the pie's and I'd love to strip it down a little, think if I was planning on doing a lot of track I'd get something smaller, lighter and easier to squeeze more power out of, now I wonder ;)

Lol well there it is :) they're going back on an RB! I've bought Luke on CS 's (The Boosh)

Agree on wheel choice, I have a bit of a superleggera fetish but got a few choices kicking about atm!

Agree on the thoughts about the 182's in general, bit fat and slow and need big power or major strippage to feel properly quick. Thankfully its just a run about to clean and look after to replace my slightly shoddy phase quick :dearme:
