View Full Version : GGF Bodywork Sortout
Dropped my gtt off at the bodyshop yesterday to get any rust sorted and a full respray.
I pulled the bodykit off and was pleased at the amount of rust, i was expecting more!:D

If you don't mind me asking how much is the respray and are they doing the bumpers/Body kit off the car
Well not sure till its finished! The quote was 2.5k but it has a lot less rust than he expected, also I have stripped the kit off myself and will re assemble it a the end. So hopefully around the 2k mark. Yea the kit and wings etc will be painted off the car.
After i refitted the bodykit this morning, i have brought my freshly painted 5 home!

5 looks outstanding mate, top work :agree:
Love that mini...
Cheers:D
Needs a bit of work now though, inner and outer sills, healboard, bits of floorpans, also got a few bubbles here and there.
Need to do a radius arm, rear suframe bushes, and fit my coil spring set up. Just had to put some patches on the sills to get it though the mot again!:ashamed:
Love it, how far you lowered at the rear? Really good stance you have on the 5.

X2 car looks great.

I don't honestly know, it was lower than that when I got it and I just raised it a bit! The front is -30mm though on the group buy konis and gmax springs.
X2 car looks great.
Cheers guys! Wanna try and sort the interior now, worst bit is the standard issues with the woken/ripped drivers seat.

Swap for my 5 :)
Not a chance, this mini will be staying with me forever now I reckon! Had it so long and spent so much on it. Plus only £120 a year to insure, and free tax;)

:agree: I do have a mini bug, would sell the 5, 172, and parts for a decent one.... Maybe I should get out there and look at a few :)
