after six years or so h10cac drives out of the car port under her own stream.
built by (barry i think at) cmt many moons ago than sold to my brother (stever5gtt) had her for a while doing a few pod runs in that time. then it came to end when the box let go at santa pod causing a lot damage (head, flywheel, clutch, gearbox). steve started to the rebuild and ran out of time , money and patience.
i step in made an offer and we came to deal. so she mine this was a couple of years ago i didnt do alot with her for a while due to the lack of spare time (work and a 3 year old). but over the last few month i have managed the odd spare day here and there and now she running and near ready for a mot. i hoping to get her mot'ed and up to efi parts rr day at the end of the month (finger cross)

heres a few photos (she still abit dusty)

cheers for pointing out the water hose. theres a few thing that needs finishing might change the rad setup i.e the water hose and wiring just to get it running.
engine support. w/i needs plumbing in.

the was 255hp but since the rebuild its had a few more bits done to it so maybe tad more now.

take her for a drive today went ok i had to adjust the tps and it was fine. took it for another driver and the starter live wire was catching on the turbo down pipe. the earth wire started to smoke and got very hot so i quickly disconected the battery. sorted the live out but now she wont rev right? ticks over fine but as soon as you touch the throttle it wont rev and acts like its going to stall.
not sure if its related to the live wire earthing out?
or the tps has had its day?
is there a way of checking the tps is good?

If you keep your foot in does it clear and then rev ?

full throttle just stalls. pumping the throttle gets the rev's up to 2/2.5k but drops again nearly stalling or stalls.

Perhaps something has been messed up ecu map wise with leaving the battery disconected??

i think i have found the problem with the reno not wanting to rev right. when i play with the wires that come from the tps its fine back to normal. :) happy days if this is the problem.
looking at the tps from a make or part number? i cant see any markings on it so i'm searching the internet for something that looks same but no luck so far.

does any recognize the tps? or know where to get one from? or what other car its from?

thanks allan

its the normal jenvey / colvern / webash sensor allan, comes with all the jenvey ITB kits. You can buy them from jenvey or from RS if you're not bothered about the round 3 pin econoseal connector thats probably on it. They fail a lot, wires snap on entry to the sensor.

But when you install a new one it's essential you hook the laptop up and re-calibrate it. If you don't you'll spend hours adjusting the bugger until it runs right, and even then you can't be sure the fueling is right.

Is it emerald ? The software is free, the leads are a few quid.
