Timing chain do you recon?

C1j. Thought it was a tappet so adjusted and all set nice and tight .20 and .15, the noise I'm getting sound just like a tappet but its quiet at 850 rpm idle, noisy if you rev it up, noisy on part load up the revs but shuts up on full load big right foot. Timing chaining floppyness catching cover I recon??

if you tighten the rocker cover down too much i think it can distort and then the rockers can foul on the cover making a tapping sound, correct me if i am wrong

Spot on :agree: the noise would probably be there all the time tho, not load dependant. But worth a check.
