I've known this particular car for nearly 9 years and have owned it twice in that time. When i purchased her back from a friend of mine i sold it to i took her off the road and restored her to her former glory. this was not a 20k nut and bolt rebuild but it wasn't cheap and the main objective was to make it a fast reliable clean example.
i have this car insured as a classic and im fully comp for only £190 a year so this awesome car is just perfect as a second/hobby car and is more than capable of being an everyday car.
the car has a cobra cat1 alarm and immobilizer with certificate
ENGINE
recent cambelt and tensioner
dizzy cap & rotor arm
8mm magnecor ignition leads
gapped platinum spark plugs
new bespoke hand made 50mm core all alloy radiator
twin 10" kenlow slim line fans
new r5 gtturbo low temp thermostat (82 degree)
T3 turbocharger rebuilt by turbo dynamics with 360 degree thrush bearings (not even 5k miles old)
collins -31 alloy actuator
Boost set at 15psi on a dawes device
both pace alloy intercoolers cleaned and pressure tested when the rad was made
full silicone samco boost hose set with dump valve outlet (blocked off) chatter likes no other
silicone redox coolant hoses
full turbo back, straight through prima racing scorpion stainless exhaust system
green cotton filter with silicone samco induction hose
8mm red silicone vacuum hoses
polished rocker cover and
rr printout for a reliable 195bhp and 225lb @ only 15psi of boost.
DRIVECHAIN
standard gearbox, this un1 is a sweet box
standard clutch and fly wheel clutch aint done many miles.
BRAKES
new standard pagid discs and pad all round less than 1k miles old
secondhand replacement offside front and rear callipers not so long ago
bled with dot 5 fluid
handbrake adjusted recently for MOT (23yr old motor and this was the only fail for last MOT and no advisory's)
SUSPENSION
the pair of fronts shocks/springs/top mounts were replaced and the offside rear coilover replaced with good secondhand units
CHASSIS
very clean bodywork/paintwork considering its 23 years old
there is the odd little pin dent/scratch here and there but still looks very very good for its age
front turretts, front and rear of outer sills both sides, nearsides inner sill and nearside jacking point have had repairs to a good standard
then the under chassis and all arches were sealed with tetrosyl underseal
INTERIOR
full black leather
drivers seat has had little repair but still looks good
autogauge psi boost gauge
JVC cd player
there are a couple of points id like to point out. there not really "bad bits" as there only superficial
1. drivers door has dropped slightly theres no issues opening and closing it at all, it just annoys me and il include all the parts needed to rehang it.
2. interior fans are stuck on hot. cable locator lug has snapped so ive kept them on hot. also the fan motor has been put on a switch as that used to play
3. x2 manifold studs snapped off in the head. not an issue as it dont blow again just annoys me and il include a good replacement head
4. started motor clicks sumtimes has done this for 6+ years and has never failed to start (spare also included)
i must have forgot loads but its has a massive history file of recipts and old mot's ect.....
There are 3 sets of keys with this car. 2 are Renault originals and 1 set that's being used is a cut set. There is also a spare alarm fob
SPARES
another set of standard alloys, need refurbing with no tyres
standard head with cam, rockers, valves all ready to bolt on
inlet mainifold complete with throttle body, injectors ect..
