True true I'm onit when I get a minute that is.. Works got mental and the overtime to have so if I want new bits I need to do the time without the crime.. How much we talking for slicks anyway?

Oh I'm more than happy with the times and the 5 it's just I span so much at the start every time I tried different starts and it was worse at no revs the turbo wasn't in I tried more revs it span more the t25 was great but too much wheel spin.. I want some for of we ever get another track day.. The thing I love about the 5 was on the track it was fun and then just drove home reliably :) great fun :agree:

drag slicks and track slicks are differrent bud. if you want drag slaicks you only need a pair for your front wheels being fwd.

On the strip you want full slicks really but as an all round fantastic tyre people use with good results are the ToyoR888. Can only get them in 50 profile. And they are about 130 quid a corner!:scared:

No you could use your alloys mate there 15" right?? They are road legal which is why they are the all round daddy tyres!
For drag slicks unless you get hold of a 20" Set like mine you will need either cup wheels banded out (two wheels welded toghether) or a proper drag alloy wheel again very expensive.
I only got to pod once and very rarely twice a year, I just couldn't justfy spending 300+ on a set of slicks, mine came up second hand(well probably 10th hand actually) and I paid £175 for em, they are a little old now but amazingly still pulled a 1.8 60ft on sunday:eek:

1.8 thats different gravy.
The track helped a lot, some of the more experianced drag racers will do regular 1.6/7 60fts:eek: with a big pair of slicks.
I bought those tyres new phil, and I think you bought them straight from me didn't you ? They might have been sat at Haz's a while :)
I got them from Robin scoff, not sure if he ever actually used them or not, I think haz may have used them a few times I'm not sure, they are obviously still ok tho, they do feel a bit hard compared to some of the others I have had a feel of:scratch::ashamed::wasntme:
If Haz used them then they probably lost 4 mm on the depth of the rubber. :burnrubber:

from you, then you went to 8" wide, then to me for a year or so of events with one rtoc day in particular doing around 20 runs, then robin which i think he only used once ;)
get some grip juice on them, once a week, a few weeks before an event, but not a week or so before. store inflated, on their side in a warm dark place like under the stairs ;)
