View Full Version : K plate gt turbo
On ebay, was there ever any made on a k? I thought there was only a handful of j plates
I can remember seeing it years ago, probably a late registration
I am sure somebody said there was about 5 K reg renault 5 gt turbos, one being the K55 GTT one
That's not as rare as this but ..how much !!

I thought J was the last too? The shell might have been sitting around in the factory for a while before getting built.
It looks 100% genuine. I have seen a few replica's i.e. campus shells on a K reg and onwards, but I don't think this is one.
Nice car clean car :agree:.

Th seller must have slipped with the zero's when putting the price in lol
I just did a quick reg check and it is a gt turbo. If there are only 5 ever k plates it makes this car very rare.
I believe there was only five k plate cars.Ive only ever seen two of them both were white and years ago.One in rev's mag for sale and the other on the net.
just round the corner from me this!
Dunno if this is worth much more just because of the plate?
Looks a bit tatty I'd rather a mint H plate!
Or a mint C reg electric blue ph1 if anyone has one for sale???
What will this k plate fetch? Any ideas?
Defo K-plate GTT's about - 5 in total does a ring a bell.
I nearly bought one about 8 years ago - Was located in Bromley, and only up for a monkey
Wasn't there a really rotten on quite a few years back as well which was going on eBay. Think they will all be in white as even most J plates were in white.

There were no gtt's 'made' on a K-Plate. As said though, there were some late registered cars. I've also heard the rumour of five. Some say they were all Glacier White, while some say there were three in Glacier White, and two in Tungsten Grey.
I've seen a couple of white ones over the years, but never a grey one. I'm sure I saw that one of the white ones went over to Ireland, and was put on Irish plates.

£5k and they can't even be bothered to run a hoover over it, at least put in a little effort for your pie in the sky valuation.

imagine if there was a gt turbo still unregistered somewhere in france (besides renaults own collection).
given the price that 15 odd k tungsten grey went for on ebay...i'd hate to think how much a never used as new gt turbo would have on the old window price board!

My j plate is grey! Bennetton edition 5,s are the ones on k plates, seen one years ago in ashford Kent.

All rhd i suppose?:(
I was under the impression there was 5 90/91 white late registered cars on a k plate. Imo not worth any more than an h or j reg. when they were newer then maybe but they've all seen as much action as other 5's these days. Personally I don't see why people are put off by campus 'replica's' if they are put together the same as a gtt as most have tidier bodies to start with and there's bound to be a few 're shells' that have been done in the past??

Yes they are both RHD and in the UK, there maybe more out there but I definately know of two over here. I have seen the Renault 9 shell in person and I know of the GTT shell as it came from the same place as the 9 shell.

I used a campus shell on a N reg to re-shell my G reg pearl white GTT years ago. The shell was absolutely immaculate apart from a tiny bit of rust round the screen that I cut out and replaced. Sills were spotless. Your right in what you say.
Here you go, you wouldn't tell.

Not all of those Bennetton 5's were on K-reg's, i remember one being on a H-reg when saw it at Chelsea Cruise.
Those Bennetton cars weren't even a Renault thing, they were modified by another dealer and sold on but not sure how many were done
