As I have already mentioned I have just got my latest ph2 GTT, totally standard in pearl white.

I have already booked it in for a full respray in and out once I have stripped it. My plan is to keep it pearl white, lower it, turbines, ss exhaust and track down some origonal decals for the side.

Or... how do you think it would look in Renault liquid yellow, graphite grey turbines and the racing checkers on the side? If done properly I think it would look good but I don't know if it will look too boyracer ish? :crap: (I don't mean to offend anyone who has tastefully modified their GTT to suit themselves :agree:)

Has anyone already done a GTT in Renault liquid yellow?

I did my BMW E36 coupe Renault liquid yellow a few years back and it turned out pretty good but I don't know if i've just grown out of it?

I'm sure their will be some mixed views on this so please feel free to comment.

Here's a few pic's of the BMW...

When mine was in for a respray I was going to go liquid yellow but I still liked the pearl white, I left it really late making up mind, infact the chap was stood outside the booth with spray gun in hand on the phone to me asking which it was going to be. In the end I stuck worth the pearl white because I knew if I'd have done it yellow all I would of heard from everyone would've been 'AliG' every time I brought it out

Yellow doesnt suit the 5 in my opinion. Keep it one of the OE colours.

But hey, its your car.....nothing wrong with being different.

:agree:

I was just going to say: Why not try the same yellow as the French 5's - If you can find out the colour code!

I do like Liquid Yellow - I've even thought about getting a Clio R27 in it :scared:

Id keep it pearl white m8,
The last meet i went to the majority of 5`s were Raider Blue, Red or Black.
It would seem White and even Tungy are rarer than the Raider these days.

LY is a bitch to paint. Its really , really hard to get a consistent yellow across all panels.

yellows do seem to be different colours on plastic panels, like spoilers and bumpers.

Cheers for the replies there... :agree:

After seeing that 5 in liquid yellow there is no way I am going to go for that, I don't like it in the slightest :sad2:

In my head it looked good but as mentioned it just doesn't suit it at all. Definately going to keep it O.E. with out a doubt i'm glad I brought it up or I might have made a massive mistake.

I have seen some advert on ebay that has a yellow L/H drive GTT in the picture, that must be the french yellow then?

Can't beat the standard look of the five good clean looking 5s a winner for me my moto is if it Dosnt make it go or go faster don't doit.. Clean and quick is the way. We are lucky enough to own a small amount of quick old school motors from a true age of engineering not everyone can say that.. Quick and clean :agree:
