Hi guys im having some scuttle covers made up in 1.5MM mirror finish stainless.
They are lazer cut for a perfect fit. The chap who is making them up wants to know if anyone else is interested?

They are £60 + p&p. Got to remember these are brand new and not avaible anywhere else. They are in 2 pieces just like the gt tuning ones.
(but could be one piece if required?)

He says he needs a minimum of 6 people.
So whos interested??

Not yet im afraid as he will only make them for the above quoted price if the numbers are right (6 poeple or more) He has the templates to create them but does not want to waste any materials as he does not own a 5.

They will look very similar to this.

I hope he's not using a gt tuning's as a template as they are a **** fit!

Hi guys, quick update, just spoke with James (the chap making them)
He said the postage will be £7 and if it's any less he will reimburse people.

He also mentioned that he will not drill any holes in the covers as he does not know how people are mounting them. I will be just fixing mine with some 'L' angles that I have left over from fitting the kitchen. :smokin:

He will email me a date of when they can be cut, when there are 6 people who want them.

So are the other 4 people still interested?

for £60 you would be better trying to get them in carbon fibre ?

I had looked at that option but carbon fibre in 1.5mm is rather expensive a lot more than what it costs for a bit of bling :D
To give you a rough idea - around 7 months ago Carbon fibre scuttle covers on flebay (without fixings also) sold for over way over £80 and god knows how many people owned them before the person autioning them

Right back to it, people who are still interested:
Need two more people to get the ball rolling. Could sell them on flebay for more than what you are getting them for!!

So will they come with the brackets and all the fixings all ready to fit?

As I said above, he doesnt know how people are mounting them so thats upto you, therefore no brackets. Its not a tough job at all, if you own a 5 im sure your competent enough to find a way of fitting them.

I did indeed, finally got around to getting someone to make me them in mirror finish!
Yeh If you could upload to show them the fit that would be ace! :agree:

Alex

With all due respect if I'm paying out £60 for a set I'd expect the brackets and fixings etc to be included and ready t fit. Count me out, sorry for any inconvenience. :)
