Hi guys,
I finally got an afternoon to work on the car today, my previous actuator would only hold 15psi of boost so I got myself a Garrett -31.
When I fitted it I noticed the bar was only threaded part way down, I've bolted it on and pre-loaded as far as I could go, to the end of the thread. Perhaps about an inch or just under on the bar.
Out on the road I'm only achieving 10psi so its a ball-ache job of sorting another bracket I suppose.

My question, how much more will I need to go to reach 20psi or so? I don't want to sort another bracket and find out it still isn't enough, the other option is a bleed I suppose but I was wanting to avoid this as I believe they can increase lag?

Anyway any help will be appreciated as always.

Jack.

Ps I'll upload a pic in a bit so you can see where it's at.

your best saving up and getting a dual port controller, will give you so much more control ,and will stop wastegate spring cracking open before hitting pre set limit;) which in tern should give you better response and more bhp per psi;)

For acouple of quid. stick a bleed valve on and go and put a massive smile on your face.

Can you post a link to a reliable bleed please?

any lockable valve will be reliable enough.
