tt 20v engine removal

ok dont get to excited yet....the best way to remove engine is drop it out the bottom?
or does the front cross member come off and out it comes that way?
if anyone on here knows like!

Can do both sir, front off easier if no ramps.

Kind of depends also on if its just engine required versus suspension bits
