Do i need one? Put a chrome rocker cover on mine the other day didnt put a rubber gasket round but don't remember one being on my old rocker cover? Will check later :S

Yes you need the rubber gasket in place or it will leak oil

If it hasn't got one on at all it'll piddle oil out everywhere. It's a back rubber gasket that sits on the groove of the cover.

I bet it's probably on there, you just never noticed it as they don't tend to fall out
