oil pressure?

Fitted oil pressure gauge to my 5. fitted to the place where the original sensor was, my pressure is running at 80 psi. this seems high, but when i switch the engine off the pressure does not drop? this cant be right can it?

I agree - that can't be right! :D 80 psi is really high. With the oil warmed up it should be ideally around 40-45 psi @ 4k :agree:

Check your pressure gauge isnt screwed in too far and blocking the feed? compare the length of thread on the sensor to the sensor you unscrewed, post a pic if u like.
