to get my 5 to run properly i need to untighten the idle jet, not loosen it, just make it not as tight, its been like this for ages, but now when the car gets warm it pops on overrun and likes to piss about on the AFR going rich and lean. no air leaks i can find, just wandering if anyone has had similar probs

i came accross this before,if u have a different cam fitted it runs better "not as tight"because its getting a small bit more fuel....it needs a larger idle jet...possibly 47 or 48!:)
i drilled one of mine out to a 50 before :)

so drill out the hole on the end to 0.48mm?
would it being not really tight mean when carb gets hot it plays up?
Cant you just adjust the mixture screw?
